ABOUT ME

Okay, so what is it actually like to work with me?

Well, I think it’s pretty darn fun if you ask me…

I’m gonna laugh with you, probably say something weird, hype you the hell up & give you direction when you need it ~ but I’m also gonna give you space to just be. I don’t want you worrying about what to do with your hands or whether you’re “doing it right.”

There is no right. I want the weirdness, the laughs, and the soft, quiet moments.
And genuinely, I don’t take myself too seriously. I want your wedding day or session to feel fun & easy ~ not like one long photoshoot.

The photos matter, obviously ~ but so does how you feel while they’re being taken. You’re inviting someone into some pretty intimate, emotional & straight up chaotic moments of your life. I want to be someone you can relax around, laugh with & just be yourself with.

And that’s exactly what I hope it feels like with me. Like we’re just hanging out, making some art & having a good ol’ time while we’re at it.

So come as you are. I’ll take care of the rest.

I got into photography at a pretty young age. My granny would show me her macro shots of bumble bees & flowers, & landscapes from around the Smoky Mountain area, & I completely fell in love with it. She’d let me use her cameras & take me on long drives where we’d stop & photograph anything & everything.

Nature was really my first pull to photography. As I got older, I started taking more photos of my friends & family, & then in high school & college I totally started to nerd out over film. I’d spend hours in the darkroom developing my own photos. It was my happy place.

After college, my camera pretty much came everywhere with me. From working trail crew in the deserts of Nevada, to the glaciers of Montana, to living in South America & documenting the permaculture farm we were building ~ I was always shooting something.

A couple years ago, it finally hit me that this was what I should be doing with my career. Photography has been the one thing I’ve been drawn to for as long as I can remember.
